Dear Hawk Family,
I hope my October newsletter finds each student and family doing well this school year! October begins the ‘crazy’ season as different holidays and celebrations enter into our already busy schedules. We strive to keep our calendars updated to keep you informed of all the different school activities across our school district.
Speaking of schedules, I want to remind families of our upcoming parent teacher conferences during our first full week of November on the 6th and the 8th respectively. Conferences will be held in each building from 4-8 p.m. on both of these evenings with an early dismissal on the 6th and the 8th at 2:15 p.m.. This week ends earlier than usual with a No School Day on Friday, November 9th. Each buildings will be communicating with families on the scheduling of the conferences. Please strive to attend this event to have face-to-face communication with your child’s teacher. I know sometimes it is difficult to attend, or to see all of the teachers. If this is the case, please contact the teacher you wish to visit with and set up a workable time to meet. We believe in being proactive and working together to help each student succeed! We look forward to having some great conversations with each of you.
I want to remind you of some different parenting resources we have provided on our website (www.wghawks.school). I know, firsthand, how difficult it can be raising children. On this website, you will find many different parent resources that might help your family with scheduling, annual notices, nutrition, employment opportunities and more. We encourage you to explore this site and provide feedback on additional content that you would like to see or interact with on this site.
Finally, I would like to take the opportunity to thank the countless volunteers for their efforts in fundraising, ticket-taking, volunteering in classrooms, cooking/serving for dinners and the numerous other opportunities provided that have made the overall experiences at Woodward-Granger world-class. We value and appreciate your continued support.
I wish your family a Happy Fall!
Go Hawks!
