Welcome to the Early Learning Center!
On behalf of our entire WG staff, I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to the Early Learning Center! Joining this exceptional team is a fantastic opportunity, and I’m excited to be part of a community with such a strong tradition of excellence in education.
Our Early Learning Center, which serves children from four-year-old preschool through first grade, is home to approximately 300 enthusiastic young learners. We also offer “The Hawks Nest” , which provides before and after school care to our school-aged students.
At WG, we are dedicated to the highest standards of educational practice. We are guided by the principles of the Professional Learning Community process, focusing on four key questions during our weekly professional development:
- What do we expect our students to learn? (Learning Goals and Expectations)
- How will we know they are learning? (Assessment)
- How will we respond when students don’t grasp the intended curriculum? (Intervention)
- How will we respond if students already know the material? (Enrich and Extend)
We take pride in fostering a warm and welcoming “small school” environment. At WG, we embrace the best aspects of a close-knit community and celebrate student achievements throughout the year. Our expectations for student behavior, performance, and compassion are high, supported by our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) program. We emphasize doing the right thing even when no one is watching, guiding our students to become impactful leaders both in and out of our communities.
We invite you and your family to visit us at the Woodward-Granger Early Learning Center. It’s a wonderful place to nurture and educate our future leaders. Wishing you an exciting and successful school year ahead! For more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Woodward-Granger Community Schools.
GO HAWKS!
